application areas

Which illnesses is this medication used for?

  • The medicinal product is a medicinal product containing the active substances Sofosbuvir and Velpatasvir in a single tablet. It is used to treat chronic (long-term) viral infection of the liver, referred to as hepatitis C infection, in adults over 18 years of age.
  • The active ingredients contained in this medicinal product work together by blocking two different proteins (proteins) that the virus needs to grow and multiply, thus permitting a permanent elimination of infection from the body.
  • The medicine is sometimes taken with another medicine, ribavirin.
  • It is very important that you also read the package inserts of the other medicines you are going to take with the product. If you have any questions about your medicines, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
